July 17 - Quietest Day Ever

I have never had a day like today before…today I have only seen 2 wild bunnies, 4 cows, flies and only heard birds, flies, crickets, the mooing of cattle, the wind, thunder and rain! Yet I have seen and experienced so much more in God’s creation, in His presence and in His Word! There are no words to explain it!

On a walk this afternoon it was all interrupted for a few moments of pings on my phone as I must have moved to a place that had cell service for a few moments and the texts and voice mail started pinging! And then…it was quiet!

This afternoon I picked up a book sitting on the table in the living room, a book to read for fun! And I can hardly put it down! read a book for fun! Now I need to get back to it to see how it ends! “Free Ranch” by Paul Wallem. I need to finish it by tomorrow night since I leave early Wednesday morning.

Just waiting for Jonathan and Lorraine to arrive after their long day of driving. Tomorrow learning more about the area and the ranch!

Many of you are used to my sunset pictures, so will share tonight’s.

  3. LOL - my day yesterday was the opposite of yours! Niece Alix and entourage (husband, 2yo daughter, 2 Corgis and 2 cats) arrived in Lacey at 4pm after 4+ long days of driving. I loaded up my car with "necessities" until their "stuff" arrives and drove down. Of course my WS friend lives just .2 blocks away so did double duty! Enjoy your drive!!

  4. Gorgeous photos the past few days! Hard to imagine being all alone out on that ranch -- a rare experience, indeed.
