Today was my first day of retirement and it started off with a wonderful day road trip up to Sequim to see dear friends Rick and Terri Sagmoen. This was a short warm up drive before the Kross Kountry trip begins! It was enjoyed with designated drivers Shawn and Mary Packard, while Carreen Smith and I sat back and enjoyed the scenery and conversation! Our trip started with a beautiful morning ferry ride that included a bonus sighting of Mt. Rainier! Now if I can only figure out how to upload pictures to my blog. Well I finally did but not until after I got home! This was a good ‘test run’ of a mini road trip and blog posting!
A "practice pack" followed by a shakedown cruise with great friends. Sure sounds organized and well-planned, but then.. it's Karol! What a beautiful day you had yesterday, it's a great kickoff to your adventure.
