Today began with an early start, up at 6am, to leave the house by 6:30 for an hour drive from Dow City to Treynor to join Grandma Carol in helping new mama Anna with baby Dawson and 2 year old big brother Bennett. Aunt Karol mostly helped entertain Bennett as we built more corals, pastures, bailed hay, sorted cattle, gathered the horses, fed the chickens, etc. of course looked more mulberries, found just a few as it is getting to the end of the season. But we had fun hunting! Of course the day included laundry, dishes to clean up, great conversations and helping to make a delicious recipe of Shepherds Pie using cauliflower instead of potatoes! Send me an email if you are interested in the recipe!
Tonight I crossed something off my Bucket List! Something I didn’t even know was on my Bucket List! I learned to drive (and drove!) a Skid Steer with fork lift on the front under the tutelage of Aaron Grady! Thank you Aaron! You were a great teacher!
Who knows what tomorrow holds…only the Lord!
