Fun day #2! Light breeze, mid 80s and over 6,000 attending Threshermans Antique Car and Tractor Show. And…the Model A ran smoothly in the parade with 5 little girls smiling and waving to all those watching…remember parade route is only about 2 blocks long! At the conclusion of the parade the girls were excited to ride back to the farm.
Once at the farm cousins and their kids/grandkids started arriving with a total of 50! What a joy to be able to connect with one another and to observe various conversations happening. Such a rich time! While the adults connected, kids played in the grove building a lean two, a log house, fire pit and just having a blast connecting, while others played on the rope swing in the haymow.
For supper we had pickled cukes, jello salad, homemade potato salad, watermelon, cantaloupe, pulled smoked pork butt, pork burgers, hot dogs, of course peach cobbler, scotcheroos, brownies, jello cake and more!
