Aug 16 Sioux City

Left at 8am for Sioux City to get my car fixed, really my key fob working. Component came in and after a couple hours drove off with a key fob working, tire gauge working and clock working! Horray!

Then a quick side trip downtown to see an incredible piece of artwork by Naomi Haverland (see my Facebook post for more info).

Then it was time to stop for a quick visit with cousin Esther and Laurin Eichhorn. Praying for Laurin as he battles COPD, and his life right now involves hooked to oxygen most of the time, walking 400 steps once an hour, monitoring his oxygen level, BP, living with pain but continuing to start every day with His Lord and Savior in prayer and studying his Bible. Special time of sweet fellowship.

The evening included visiting with Julie and Gary, repacking my car with all my travel belongings after having to empty the rear end before taking it in for service. However before repacking I decided to check at what I stowed in the wheel well to find I had a critter visiting at some point! I have since emptied the back of the car, put a napkin with a little peanut butter on it to see if there is a critter actively living there! I sure hope not! But next step will be a trap or sticky paper! Don’t mess with me!

Yet another grand day of memories!
