Next is DeSoto Falls! Fun history tidbit…at first Ft Payne was furnished with electricity from dark until midnight with the dam first built with 10 foot drop, grew to 20 feet Then a number of the local women had purchased electric irons, power was supplied on Thursday afternoons to enable ladies to iron. Later electricity was available all day and all night.
Last stop…running on fumes…I filled up on Buc-red 14.4 gallons, my car takes 16.1 gallons!
